Hope for HIE is the premiere worldwide charity organization supporting those affected by neonatal or pediatric acquired hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy. Hope for HIE was created by a group of families who were greatly impacted when their own children were diagnosed with the brain injury hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE). Through our experiences, we found there was no central resource available with comprehensive information about the condition. Hope for HIE has existed solely as a comprehensive support network on Facebook, and decided it was time to create a resource that would be easily located, full of relevant information, and supportive of families going through a very difficult time following an HIE diagnosis.
