HouSTRONG for Animals

I'm raising money for Houston Humane Society. As a result of the insurmountable devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey, there is much that can be done to keep "Houston Strong." It will take some time for the city of Houston and surrounding areas affected by Harvey to recover due to the irreparable damage that abound. But there is a silver lining: we will become stronger than ever. Solidarity and interdependence will be key.

"Romam uno die non fuisse conditam." Houston wasn't built in a day but it certainly suffered some irreparable damage within a 24 hour period. will take time to regain normality but Texan's know how to get things done.
 There are numerous organizations, charities, non-profits that are in need of help, be it financial support, volunteers, supplies--the list goes on. That said, we must also consider our furry counterparts who aren't able to voice their grievances. Animals need our help now more than ever. Pet shelters are totally inundated and tragically have to turn away dog after dog, cat after cat... One can only do so much given the insurmountable destruction experienced state wide. That said, every little bit helps; just taking the time to read and consider my proposal means so much to me and is whole-heartedly appreciated.
 This cause means a lot to me, and I believe that we can make a difference together. Here's an abbreviated description of The Houston Humane Society: it is a 501 (c) (3) IRS designated non-profit organization dedicated to, and working towards, ending cruelty, abuse and the over population of animals while providing the highest quality of life to those in our care. They do not receive any government funding or operational funds from national animal welfare groups. They operate on the generosity of people throughout Southeast Texas, special events, program services and grants to care for almost 50,000 animals each year.
