About this campaign

Hurricane Irma has torn a path through the Caribbean, leaving behind a trail of devastation. Thousands of people have had their lives ripped apart and their homes destroyed. Local volunteers are already on the ground ready to give first aid, shelter and water to those affected.

As Booster is a US run fundraising site, the choice of charities to donate the proceeds to are limited to those registered in the US.
I have chosen to donate to VISAR: Virgin Islands Search and Rescue which is a NON PROFIT organisation that as it's main task provides safety at sea. Currently they are involved in the cleaning up and rebuilding of the Islands

I have on many an occasion sailed the British Virgin Island, as a boat captain for the HIHO and as a participant in the Moorings Interline Regatta.

I cannot sit idle while people I know struggle to find clean water, food and a roof over their heads!! I cannot go there myself and help, as I would then be yet another mouth to feed, but i CAN do this!! If you feel the same, then buy a shirt, heck buy 5, and help VISAR provide the islands with First aid, Shelter and clean water, and the man power to start the cleanup!

PLEASE NOTE:
This fundraiser is NOT an official VISAR fundraiser, I have chosen them as recipient of the proceeds as they are a NON PROFIT organisation.
All funds will be transferred directly from Booster to VISAR once the campaign is over, and the minimum of 50 shirts has been met.
