People warned us that adoption is not for the faint of heart. It has brought us into the land of deep joy, boundless love, sheer terror, and faith-filled hope. It has required courage for every step.

One quote that has given us strength along the darkest moments of our journey comes from The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

It's a part of the story where the ship is in grave danger of being stuck forever in a dark place where dreams (nightmares) come true.
