Guma’ Imahe was founded by Joel Larimer with a mission to preserve, promote, and share Chamorro culture through the art of dance and performance. Rooted in tradition, the group brings to life the stories, values, and spirit of the Chamorro people—connecting past and present through movement, music, and cultural expression.

Since its beginnings, Guma’ Imahe has grown into a strong cultural community, providing a space for youth and members to learn, represent, and take pride in their heritage. Through performances at community events, cultural celebrations, and special showcases, the group continues to educate and inspire audiences while honoring the legacy of their ancestors.

In recognition of its impact and excellence, Guma’ Imahe has been awarded Best Dance Studio in Pierce County, Washington for the past two consecutive years, highlighting its dedication to cultural authenticity, performance quality, and community leadership.
