Imani Milele Children: Building A Legacy at Lusaka

Lusaka School is one of Imani Milele Children's eight Christian educational centers in Uganda. Located in Uganda's capital city - Kampala, and sitting on just 14,520 square feet of land, Lusaka is our flagship school and home to our headquarters in Uganda. Through this small school, we have been able to significantly impact the almost 700 orphaned and vulnerable students attending Lusaka and the poor surrounding community Lusaka serves.

Priding itself in excellent academic achievements, our Lusaka School has become one of the best schools in its division, but we have outgrown our space.

In 2014, Uganda's Department of Education threatened to shut down our Lusaka School if we failed to meet the government's infrastructural standards. Our student population has outgrown the space and small, wooden, temporary classrooms that make-up our current Lusaka Campus.

Through generous donations, we were able to secure nearby land for a new Lusaka School Campus. In December 2018, we broke ground at the new site and laid the new school's foundation. Unfortunately, the lack of funds has halted the construction.

It is imperative that we resume construction and finish our new Lusaka School Campus. The new campus will provide the needed space for us to grow our student population to 1,000 students, ages Kindergarten through Primary Seven. It will provide safe and adequate learning facilities to ensure our students the ability to reach their potential.
