About this campaign
Every year officers, innocent bystanders and dogs are needlessly injured and/or killed by law enforcement officers. This campaign is to promote officer education safe encounters between with dogs through understanding of canine communication/behavior, de-escalation through projection of body language, and achieving confidence in the use of less lethal tools available to police officers.

For Geist and my American Bulldog, Big Butter
To most people dogs are like children to them but four legged children. They are also very eager protect the house, owners and land because most are taught that. But there are also a lot of really friendly dogs and owners. Please take classes
I support this training program - Officer Gomez is an example of the desired outcome resulting from training (and his attitude of course!)
It breaks my heart to read stories of animals being killed for protecting their owner/house/themselves. It's what they are supposed to do, they don't know the difference between a cop or a bad guy. Thank you for this program!
I'm buying it for my brother. Our dad was a policeman/detective in Flint Michigan.
As Director of the National Law Enforcement Center on Animal Abuse, I see almost daily what can happen when a police/canine encounter goes wrong. NLECAA wholeheartedly supports Edith and the entire INLCET!
