About this campaign
On July 29, 2022, Kyle Oostra, a trooper with the Iowa State Patrol, was injured during a training exercise. This injury turned out to be a blessing in disguise as imaging discovered a mass in his chest. On September 1, 2022, after multiple scans and a biopsy, Kyle was diagnosed with mediastinal diffuse large B cell lymphoma. Kyle has been undergoing chemotherapy since September 13th. His particular chemo treatments require him to be admitted to the hospital for a week at a time every three weeks.
Kyle has been married to his wife, Stephanie, for 9.5 years and they have two beautiful children: Weston (age 6) and Tinley (age 2).
