Katie's Killer Knockers Breast Cancer Fundraiser

On 11/14/22, I was told I have Breast Cancer. My breast had a lump since March that we initially thought was related to breastfeeding and mastitis. I fought for a biopsy which lead to Sam and I being given the devastating news. I was diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer which is an aggressive form of cancer that requires chemotherapy. I will be starting chemotherapy 11/21/22 because we have to move fast. We are waiting on results from other tests to make sure the cancer has not spread but as of now the plan is that I will be doing chemo for four months then I will have a mastectomy followed by radiation. I want to thank the family and friends who learned this news along with me and jumped into action to support me and my family, specifically my mom Janet, who rearranged her whole life to help my family. My family and I are about to go through something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy but you better believe me when I say this cancer picked the wrong gal. I am going to fight with every fiber of my being to make a full recovery and continue to live this life to the fullest. When I proudly said I had killer breasts this is not exactly what I had in mind BUT cancer may take my breast but it will never take my sense of humor!
