About this campaign
Every May the KCC offers a SHORT limited-time hoodie and t-shirt fundraiser to help fund our June Thinking & Doing Day; a chance to celebrate PRIDE, Freedom and a halfway point to check in on our Kwanzaa commitments.
When you purchase a shirt or hoodie, you're helping sustain our work in Hartford and elsewhere.
Your support helps fund: food for our community meal, supplies for Thinking & Doing Day and our annual June campout. AND you get to wear your support. Please purchase a shirt, share the campaign and help us build June together.
Kamora’s Cultural Corner is a Hartford-rooted community organization creating spaces for reflection, connection, and action. Our outdoor Learning Lab, the Sterling Street Sanctuary & Nature Reserve, transforms once-neglected land into gardens, gathering space, and a community labyrinth where people come to heal, learn, volunteer, and grow together.
Each spring, our Custom Ink fundraiser helps fund our June Thinking & Doing Day — a signature community event centered on shared meals, meaningful conversation, hands-on service, and collective care.

I believe in the cause and I want to get involved in the community in which I was raised. I grew up on Cabot Street and I can only imagine what impact having a space like the Sanctuary would have had on me and other neighborhoods during our youth.
