Coughing- so much coughing. Hospitalizations. Hours of medications and therapy a day. That's what life was like before Trikafta. Then, at the end of 2019 a 'miracle' drug was sped through the FDA approval, changing the lives of so many with CF, including me. I was 31 and had just have my first child. I was cautiously optimistic about this new drug that was developed and held hope it could improve my declining lung function. I'm thrilled to say it did! I gained nearly 15% of lung function, stopping the decline in it's tracks. But Trikafta isn't for everyone. 1 in 10 people with CF either can't benefit from or tolerate Trikafta. They are missing out on the benefits, and they deserve a chance to live free from coughing, hospitalizations, and hours of therapy, too. That 10% need transformative gene therapies. But gene therapy is expensive and the research is difficult. That's why we continue to fundraise- until there's a cure for everyone. We are so close to living in a world where CF can stand for Cure Found. Can you help get us there?
