About this campaign

On Sunday, November 17, the small city of Kokomo, Indiana, was hit with a wave of tornadoes that devastated the lives of many residents. Soon, Zumba lovers from around the area will gather at the Kokomo YMCA to raise funds for victims. Help us out by buying a shirt!

Shirts will be delivered to the campaign organizer approximately 2 weeks after the close date. Delivery dates may be affected by holidays.

Greetings and peace to you - my name is Christina Downey, and I am a professor at the Indiana University Kokomo campus located in Kokomo, Indiana. I have seen firsthand the terrible aftermath of this storm, which brought tornadoes and destructive straight-line winds to this small community. I shared the stories of those impacted by the storm with Nichol Altman, my fitness instructor and friend in my hometown of Noblesville (about 45 minutes from Kokomo). Selfless person that she is, Nichol immediately offered to help by assisting with a donation drive, and teaching at an upcoming Zumbathon in Kokomo on 12/7 (4-6 pm - please come!). We hope that everyone who's ever been to Nichol's class and seen the good she brings to the community will buy a shirt and become a Nichol's Angel! We'd like to sell at least 75 shirts, and in doing so raise additional funds to contribute to the cause of the storm victims. Thank you!
