Kynlee White

Miss Kynlee Christine White was born on March 18, 2019, in Colby, Kansas. She failed multiple hearing screenings before she left the hospital and at her one week appointment. She was then referred to an audiologist in Oakley, Kansas. The following week, she failed the diagnostics ABR (Auditory Brainstem Response). Kynlee was then referred to Wichita for a repeat ABR test. This test determined that she was profoundly deaf and the same day she was fitted for hearing aids. Kynlee will have to be fitted for hearing aids several times (possibly every month) thereafter while growing until determined if a candidate for cochlear implants. The hearing aids are used to stimulate the nerve and hopefully she's a candidate for cochlear implants after she's a year old. At this time, it is of unknown origin to the cause of Kynlee's deafness. We are proud to support Kynlee and her family during this journey. We also hope to raise awareness for the deaf community.
