About this campaign
Why preserving heritage instead of history, you might ask. Preserving heritage refers to the preservation of both tangible and intangible objects. At the museum it is as important to us to preserve the legacy of Laura Ingalls Wilder and the pioneer way of life as it is to preserve the physical objects that belonged to the Wilders. To fulfill this the Preservation Department at the Laura Ingalls Wilder Home and Museum supports the museums programing goals including the summer camps, pop up makers sessions, and scheduled group activities. Additionally, it funds the preservation of Mrs. Wilder's belongings such as the furniture in the house.
