About this campaign
A great way to support the Lesbian Avenger Documentary Project, our tee shirts also boost lesbian visibility and start conversations about LGBT history. Don't know about the Lesbian Avengers? Let me tell you about these kick-ass activists who supported diversity in schools, avenged attacks on queers, mobilized tens of thousands of lesbians worldwide, took over radio stations to fight misogyny, racism, and homophobia, and held the first Dyke Marches ever. Yeah the Dyke March, still organized in cities across the globe. Our current project? Publishing (and promoting!) a new edition of the Lesbian Avengers Handbook. Still used today, we've updated it with even more resources inside for activists and historians alike. Forthcoming in Jan/Feb.

The Lesbian Avengers Documentary Project is a project of the 501c3 Homocom Corporation. Promoting social change and broadening our understanding of LGBT lives, Homocom offers venues for information, ideas, and opinions, shares media skills through online resources, and recovers queer history both for lost activist techniques and inspiration.

I lived with the Corvallis, Oregon chapter of the Avengers in the late 90's. They raised me like a pack of wolves, and I'm forever in debt to their no compromise, no bullshit way of living. The gay men in my town were shadows.
