About this campaign
I am saddened to pass on the news that my friend David left the planet this morning, March 3. Thank you to everyone who purchased a tee and donated to the fundraiser. It will help his girls — his wife Joanie and his daughter Rosanne — not have to think about money at this sad time. Bills are still pouring in and there will of course be final expenses. I thought of turning this off but have been encouraged to keep it going for his girls, so I will.

Saw David w/Jackson Browne at Red Rocks and also w/Wally Ingram at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival. Loved how he could make that lap steel talk. A true, uniquely expressive musician. RIP
Mr. Dave is one of my alltime music heroes. No only a top musician, he also was a very approchable, nice guy, lots of humor. I saw Mr. Dave at numerous shows with Ry Cooder, Jackson Browne, Hani Nasr and Wally Ingram in Europe. May he rest in peace!
Saw David live a couple times and owned all his records. Such a lovely soul and he will be missed. I hope this helps his family.
I saw him the first time in the bay area and then in Amsterdam with Ry Cooder. He had a tremendous talent! My condolences to his family. I can't give much but want to help lighten the load. I've been there.
