About this campaign
I am saddened to pass on the news that my friend David left the planet this morning, March 3. Thank you to everyone who purchased a tee and donated to the fundraiser. It will help his girls — his wife Joanie and his daughter Rosanne — not have to think about money at this sad time. Bills are still pouring in and there will of course be final expenses. I thought of turning this off but have been encouraged to keep it going for his girls, so I will.

Condolences to David’s family. His music made so many people happy which will live on forever.
I’ve known DL since the early 2000’s. Deck parties, skiing, super bowls. We’ve kept in touch with Wally as well. Our Colorado ties are strong. A one of a kind legend. Lucky to be in the right place at the right time. Break out the polyester!!
My band opened for El Reyo X back in the 80s. That was one of my favorite gigs ever. I’ve always loved hearing David play. His musical voice was a great influence. So sorry for your loss. He will be greatly missed.
The original El Rayo X record helped me survive the 80s. Dave was an American original, a national treasure.
