About this campaign
I am saddened to pass on the news that my friend David left the planet this morning, March 3. Thank you to everyone who purchased a tee and donated to the fundraiser. It will help his girls — his wife Joanie and his daughter Rosanne — not have to think about money at this sad time. Bills are still pouring in and there will of course be final expenses. I thought of turning this off but have been encouraged to keep it going for his girls, so I will.

I have been a fan of David for many years , and once saw him in 1988 at Reno NV. I kept my eye on his website with hopes he would be passing through on tour within driving distance . Unfortunately that never came to fruition . God speed Mr Lindsey.
So sad. Just learned of Dave's passing and didn't know, until now, of his medical problems. Had the pleasure of seeing him many times w/Jackson and solo...met him 3 times. Always wonderful and gracious. RIP, The Very Greasy Mr. Dave.

Just heard of David's illness and passing - listening now to his wonderful music, so sad that he is gone. We saw him playing in Kaleidescope on our first date in 1970 - seen him many times since, sharing with our now grown kids. Thank you Mr. Dave
My family loves Mr. Dave and he has always been so kind and welcoming to us.
Perhaps the greatest musician I’ve had the honor to see in different bands and settings. Rest in power.
I toured with David 76/77. I played drums with Jackson. I went by John Mauceri then. I was a young pup in the band. David befriended me. I learned so much from him. He got me into the Bob Weir. Band He was just a wonderful person.
