Live Out Loud 2015

This year's design began with a painting. The King Lion, as my daughter calls it. She watched me paint it, alternating between sitting by my side and watching cartoons. She never asked me questions, never said a word other than giving it a title, but as she watched I could see the gears in her mind working.

When I finished the painting, she studied it for a long while and then created her own. And while it wasn't up to gallery standards, it was perfectly imperfect. I stared at it, just as she had mine, and my heart grew. 



There was something to this painting. Something more than canvas and color. It was filled with hope and promise and beauty, just like these individuals who are so often misunderstood. This is why we're revisiting the Autism Awareness campaign for 2015.

It is imperative we work as a community to raise awareness, spread compassion, and fund research for answers. In staying with the original headphone design, this year's tee features the King Lion to remind past, current, and future supporters to Live Out Loud for Autism.
