About this campaign

The Student Government Association (SGA) is a multifunctional group that strives for the continuous improvement of Lees-McRae. SGA represents and advocates for all Lees-McRae students. We also oversee all Registered Student Organizations to ensure constitution compliance and club success. Among other goals, SGA plans to host a 5k and a Spring Bash this semester, with hopes of creating new campus traditions and strengthening our bond with the Banner Elk community. We also plan to provide more funding to RSO's in order to promote student involvement on campus. Please help us reach our goals by contributing to our fundraiser so we can continue to improve the campus experience for all LMC students!

SGA wanted to create a shirt that not only embodies what Lees-McRae College is all about, but a shirt that represents the student experience at LMC. We felt that there was no better representation than LMC's motto: In Montibus, Ex Montibus, Pro Montibus (In the mountains, of the mountains, for the mountains). No matter what we do here at LMC, we are surrounded by the mountains and it is in these mountains that we create lifelong memories and friends. Pictured on the shirt is Grandfather Mountain, named after its peak resembling the face of an old man.

As a former student and member of the SGA here at Lees-McRae, and now a proud employee, I understand the importance of all groups on campus. As one elevates, so do all the others. I love Lees-McRae and want all aspects of this school to thrive!
