https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/loveformikahOn September 14th, 2018, shortly after school had started for our four children, we received the news that our four year old son Mikah had B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Our world as we knew it completely stopped. We were now fighting to save our son from this terrible blood cancer. 91% of his bone marrow was Leukemia cells. Mikah started a heavy treatment of chemotherapy and steroids the very next day. We were also told that the battle for Mikah to beat cancer was a 3 1/2 year journey. We are soon approaching Mikah's one year anniversary of his diagnosis. Mikah is a patient at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital. We will at minimum have monthly visits to the hospital clinic for labs and chemotherapy. Mikah also takes daily oral chemotherapy at home, weekly antibiotics and steroids every 3 months to be sure every Leukemia cell is out of his body. Mikah's projected completion date of treatment is in November 2021. Thank you for coming along side us to see our son healed. We also hope and pray that we can help bring awareness to childhood cancer. Everyday 46 families receive the news that their child has cancer.
