Mama Bear Down syndrome

The Omaha Buddy Walk® is the primary fundraiser of the Down Syndrome Alliance of the Midlands. Over 2,500 members of the Omaha community gather to celebrate our friends with Down syndrome. 93% of funds raised support the programs and administration of an organization that supports over 350 families in the Omaha Metro. 7% of the funds raised support the National Down Syndrome Society, whose mission is to be the national advocate for the value, acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome.

Funds support the Down Syndrome Education Series, the scholarship program for self-advocates, medical outreach materials, education materials for 19 local school districts, events that foster family connections, and professional staff to ensure the stability and growth of the Down Syndrome Alliance of the Midlands.
