About this campaign

Peace Corps Volunteers are making positive change all over the world. Kick off 2014 the right way by purchasing a t-shirt to support their work. All funds raised will go to support Peace Corps Partnership projects

The Atlanta Area Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (AARPVC) group, founded in 1983, is committed to positive social action, global education, and community service. AARPCV helps Peace Corps Volunteers meet some of the most immediate needs of their communities through the Peace Corps Partnership grant program. These grants assist with the provision of English textbooks in Kyrgyzstan, latrines in Senegal and the Dominican Republic, aqueducts in Costa Rica, a journalism training in Ukraine, improvements to a Georgian orphanage, etc. AARPCV's most recent donation (February 2014), was the final $3,100 towards a maternity house construction project led by a Peace Corps Volunteer in Togo. The project will provide a safe place to stay adjacent to the health clinic for women who are in their last month of pregnancy. Staying in this shelter will give the women immediate access to a midwife, as well as alleviate the need to travel over challenging terrain during labor. Projects like this one are what your money supports. Learn more about Peace Corps Partnership grants at: http://donate.peacecorps.gov.
