About this campaign
Why the Cystic FibrosisFoundation?Because we are a winning team! We discovered the gene that causes CF; we then discovered a drug that attacks the underlying CAUSE of cystic fibrosis (but only for 4% of the CF population). We are now in many clinical trials discovering NEW drugs for the other 96% of the CF population. We can't afford to leave ONE cf clinical trial in the lab...we must get ALL potential therapies into the hands of people with CFthat need them.90 cents out of EVERY dollar goes back to CF research.

Meet my daughter, Faith; the most extraordinary child I know. Faith is a precocious 11 year old that is often wise beyond her years. She likes to play with her best friends (her brother and sister) and her dolls. Like most children, Faith enjoys a variety of activities including swimming, body boarding, SURFING, kayaking, reading, and running with her Daddy. Faith is very appropriately named in that she is the kind of Christian we all aspire to be. She is also a very dedicated home school student that works well above her grade level. Faith's favorite subject is science and she wants to be a Marine biologist when she grows up. While most parents dream of watching their children to grow up to realize their goals, I dream of watching my daughter grow up. Period. Like any mother, I suppose, I could go on about her many fine qualities endlessly. All this, she does and is, in addition to the hours of breathing treatments, pills, and therapy she must endure everyday. Faith has Cystic Fibrosis.
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a devastating genetic disease that affects tens of thousands of children and young adults in the United States. Research and care supported by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is making a huge difference in extending the quality of life for those with CF. However, we continue to lose precious lives to CF every day. Our granddaughter Faith inspires us through her exuberant joy in living and her deep faith in God. Humor, creativity, curiosity, thoughtfulness, and concern for others are among the many fine qualities of our delightful girl.
God uses His people to get things done. You can't just sit around and hope for a cure for people like Faith, you have to take action. Action produces results! We hope and pray that the result is a cure!!
