Kenya '14 Global Project Fundraiser

My trip will begin in the states where I will attend an orientation in Boston, MA before our departure to Kenya on May 30. Upon arrival in Kenya, I will participate in a weeklong training session in Nairobi (Kenya’s Capitol) and start a three-week ministry assignment with a partner in a Kenyan village. During the remaining three weeks I will be devoted to various ministry assignments: working in slums, orphanages, teaching, preaching, and helping the disabled until my return to North Carolina on July 19.There are a few things I believe God wants to teach me about Himself and His people. First, I will be (and already have been) learning more about God's plan for reaching His people through the message of salvation. Second, I will learn what it is like to live in another culture and relate to people with a different perspective in life. I understand that it is unrealistic to believe I can change Kenya in 7 weeks, so I pray that this will be an opportunity for God to change me through Kenya.
