Our Founder Jonita Sutherland was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in November 2012 at the age of 27. During Chemo make up and friends kept her in good sprits, so she would like to pass that on to other women going through Breast Cancer and Chemotherapy. There are a few organizations that provide make up and skin care products to chemo patients however they usually meet at a location and have seminars, Beauty For Ashes understands that during chemo you are...well tired and don't always feel like traveling, or cant because your counts are low. Understanding not only the convenience but the companionship that a cancer patient needs Beauty For Ashes travels to hospitals and treatment centers with certified MUAs armed with knowledge, compassion, and extraordinary skill to exchange Beauty (Makeovers) for Ashes ( loss of hair, draining treatments, and  tiresome appointments).
