About this campaign

At Springbrook we believe that compassion is contagious. Knowledge is contagious. Respect is contagious. And we need your help to pass it on! One fifth of the American public knows someone affected by autism and we know that continued research and early intervention are the keys to improving lives. Proceeds from Pass It On for Springbrook will be used to support curriculum enhancements and autism research at the Tom Golisano Center for Autism at Springbrook. Your support will make a difference in lives of students with autism and help change the way we think about and speak about autism in our community and world. PASS IT ON!!!

The Tom Golisano Center for Autism at Springbrook offers evidence-based, individualized supports in a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week setting for children with a primary diagnosis of autism. Our highly specialized Applied Behavior Analysis program focuses on helping children with autism communicate and learn. At Springbrook, we have expertise and experience in supporting children with problem behavior. We believe that challenging behavior is an attempt to communicate a message. We have found, and current studies show, that behavior can be changed through communication training, positive reinforcement and consistently applying behavioral methods across all environments.

Our program improves the overall quality of life for our students and their families by motivating children to learn, increasing skills and healthy behaviors using a scientific, data driven approach to education. This process focuses on areas most important to a student achieving independence. Examples include language, academic skills, daily living skills, leisure, vocational skills and social skills. Learning opportunities are provided across all environments in order to help students generalize functional skills, allowing them to be as independent as possible. Constant data collection and analysis help us develop effective treatment for you child.
