Shortly after Turing 30 I began to get sick. After 2 years of being poked, prodded, tested and biopsied I was diagnosed with Behcet's Disease. Never heard of it? Neither had I. Neither had/have the majority of my doctors. There is no cure for Behcets. The treatment consists of alifetime of chemo, steroids, immune suppressants and biologics. The first step in finding a cure is creating awareness. Any of myfamily/friends that purchase a t-shirt can join me and show supportby wearingit on May 20, the National Behcets Awareness Day. This is an awareness campaign, versus a fundraising campaign, so the t-shirts are being sold at cost. The t-shirts are 100% cotton and may shrink a little the first time they are washed. The campaign ends on May 1, 2014 to ensure everyone receives their t-shirt by May 20, 2014. A great big thank you to all my friends and family!
