About this campaign
Every
year The Mayday Project holds a protest to raise awareness about Lyme disease and to
demand that the IDSA change their flawed testing and treatment guidelines so those suffering can get the treatment they need to overcome this disabling
condition. We will be protesting this October at the IDSA’s annual conference
in Philadelphia, PA.
We are turning IDWeek into LDWeek!
The Mayday Project is an organization
dedicated to raising awareness about Lyme disease, while offering hope and
support for those suffering from chronic forms of the condition. Lyme disease
is the fastest growing vector-borne illness in the United States, with
approximately 300,000 new cases diagnosed each year. If not diagnosed and
properly treated in the early stages of the illness, patients can develop
chronic symptoms, leaving them to suffer for months, years, and even decades.
Every year The Mayday Project holds a protest to bring awareness to our cause
and to demand that the IDSA change their testing and treatment guidelines so
that those suffering can get the treatment they need to overcome this disabling
condition. We will be protesting this October at the IDSA’s annual conference
in Philadelphia, PA. We are turning IDWeek into LDWeek!
As with our last protest, we are raising funds to purchase billboard trucks to
advertise our cause to the public during the protest. We are also raising funds
for additional signage, website maintenance, printing materials, and passes to
get our organization into the conference center. Your donation will help
bring change to those who are suffering with Lyme disease!

This is an important event. We need to push IDSA hard and get the media to cover the controversies that cause widespread misdiagnosis, denial of treatment and terrible suffering.
Lyme and the co infections nearly killed me!
I will be there to spread awareness & represent my family of 4 that all have Lyme & other tick borne diseases. I will also represent my local support group in York Pa. now 10 yrs. old & also represent Pa. Lyme Resources Network a statewide 501c3
It seems to me that the progress that is being made in our war against Lyme a credit to our grass roots fight. I'll do anything I can to support that fight, even on the front line, against bureaucrats and politicians and media.
I am sick with Lyme disease. So thankful for any awareness this project will bring.
I've suffered with Fibromyalgia for over 30-years caused by Lyme Disease & Babesia. I know deep in my soul that I got sick for a reason. It's my intention to honor this opportunity and to take up this cause as an advocate!
