About this campaign
Devynis a 7 year old girl with Angelmans. This is a rare condition that presents as case of Autism and Epilepsy. Devyn has a seizure alert service dog Hannah. Weneed school to help her use Hannah. Speak up for Devyn by proudly wearing our shirt!
• Devyn'sservice dog provides life-saving assistance by alerting caregivers before seizures happen andhelps her to walk and stay on task while learning. • In preschool Devyn’s 1:1 aide worked with service dogand gave the voice commandsaspart of her IEP (Individualized Education Plan). • Gates Chili Central School District (GCCSD)illegally removed service dog from IEP and dog can only go to school if her mom pays to send a handler. Reason given is Devyn cannot speak. • The Department of Justice (DOJ) investigated the case for over a year and reached out to GCCSD, but thedistrict has given no indication they will compromise. • School tax dollars will be spent on attorney’s fees vs. letting Devyn’s aide help her with dog. There is no additional cost as the aide is by their side already. Mom has offered to supply any training needed.
The shirts are not meant to raise funds, but raise awareness for Devyn and Hannah's fight that willaffectchildrenwith service dogs across the country.Any proceeds will be used to continue our campaign to Be Devyn's Voice.

I work with Devyn's aunt and have heard firsthand what wonderful things Hannah does for Devyn. She deserves to have her service dog with her in school so she can learn safely, just like any other child!
Devyn, her mother, sister, grandparents and Aunt we consider friends. We've know them for over 14 years. We are proud of your commitment to your daughter and wish you the very best throughout your journey.
This is so sad that the school board is not willing to work with this family on this issue.
