About this campaign
It is time that all LAUSD students have access to Ethnic Studies courses -- courses that speak to students who have felt invisible and marginalized, to inspire and motivate them in their education, so that they learn their own history, engage actively in their own learning, and connect in meaningful ways to the larger community. Funds raised from the sale of these T-shirts will go to thecampaignto make Ethnic Studies a graduationrequirement in LAUSD!

I believe that ethnic studies is important.
As an educator I see the value of an ethnic studies background for everyone, both in higher education and in life.
There is value for all students to take Ethnic Studies courses, yet especially for students of color. Students of color who take Ethnic Studies classes have also shown to become more successful academically; they become empowered. Ethnic Studies now!
Ethnic Studies helps students understand their own background as well as others' cultures so that we can have safer, more inclusive schools and more informed students who are critical thinkers willing to learn from diverse perspectives. Pls support.
