Learning is more than a test score!
Teachers know how to test, Bill Gates, Arnie Duncan, and David Coleman don't.
The travesty of standardized testing must be stopped. When are students allowed to learn more than how to bubble tests? Tests provide ONE window into a student's progress but by no means offer a full picture.
So many reasons, but the big one - Testing tests how to test, not loving to learn.
We are refusing the data!
Teachers are not test scores. Students are not test scores. Data is not the whole truth in education. Teachers know this, but politicians and corporate ed reformers do not. They should do their homework before they can pretend to be experts.
