About this campaign

Hilary is embarking on a journey to help the less fortunate.  Please support her and this great cause by buying a t-shirt.

My amazing friend Hilary will be taking part in an opportunity to help the less fortunate for 6 months in Vanuatu, an island in the South Pacific. She is a truly devoted person who deserves to have enough resources to assist her in this journey. Help support Hilary by purchasing a t-shirt.

Hilary's Story: Many of you know me and know my heart! Over the past several years God has transformed me and instilled a heart within me that is passionate to live completely for Him. Currently I am a Critical Care Nurse (at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville Illinois) with a heart for medical missions. This coming July-December 2015 I have taken a leap of faith to go where God has called me, to serve in Vanuatu (an Oceanic island nation located in the South Pacific). I am on a life adventure that is “after His own heart” (1 Samuel 13:14).

Growing up God planted seeds in me to serve missionly for Him. In high school a fire ignited within me, my heart began to beat in a different way; I had the desire to work for the World Health Organization (WHO) and provide education and medicine to developing countries. These past years He has been using people and experiences to cultivate, nurture, and grow that desire in me.This medical mission experience represents a culmination of what God has been doing in me since that fire was first lit.  This is also an opportunity for me to discover if long term medical mission’s work is something that God has put in my future.  I am excited and nervous about what the future holds for me.

The first couple of months consist of training which will take place at the Marine Reach base in Tauranga, New Zealand. Marine Reach has been serving the Asia-Pacific rim nations since 1990 (the same year I was born). They are a Christian voluntary organization of trained professionals and dedicated volunteers delivering much needed medical care, education and community development projects to those in need worldwide.

What does it mean to be a person after God’s own heart? It means your life is in harmony with the Lord. What is important to Him is important to you. What burdens Him burdens you. When He says, “Go to the right,” you go to the right. When He says, “Stop that in your life,” you stop it. When He says, “This is wrong and I want you to change,” you come to terms with it because you have a heart for God. That’s bottom-line, biblical Christianity. (Taken from Charles R. I am far from perfect and that is the beauty of Christ. He is not looking for Angels that walk among us but looking for imperfect people that are devoted to making His heart known. So I have created this blog to share how God is working in my life and in the life of those around me. I am so BLESSED to be able to share with you and have your love, prayer, and support! THANK YOU!

I'm supporting Hilary on her journey to helping others. She is so brave and it is an honor to call her my friend. She heard her calling and is making it happen. I'm just glad I can help in any way that I can.
