About this campaign

Let Utah know the importance of treating animals with love and respect. Proceeds benefit Utah Valley Animal Rescue to provide proper care for homeless and shelter pets.

Tex-Booster-SquarejpgAnimals are NOT disposable...they have feelings and look to us to be their voice. "Get T-d" proceeds benefit Utah Valley Animal Rescue's neglected and injured animal fund. Together we CAN make a difference!

Utah Valley Animal Rescue, a registered 501c-3 charitable corporation, was founded by animal advocate and former paralegal Heathre Hone. While volunteering at a local animal shelter, Heathre realized that not all shelter pets are reunited with their owners, nor should they be. Some animals have been abused or abandoned. For them, there is no going back. They desperately need a voice. They need an advocate. Now they have both with Utah Valley Animal Rescue.

Heathre says, "Animals have feelings and can be hurt. They don't deserve to be mistreated. They trust and depend on their owners. Animals are not meant to be thrown away".
Together their mission is to care for injured, undernourished and unwanted animals and find them permanent and loving homes.

Providing proper care for animals has always been an integral part of Heathre's lifestyle, from showing Rottweilers to her membership in Intermountain Therapy Animals (ITA), an organization dedicated to enhancing quality of life through the human/animal bond. For the past three years she has been a volunteer at South Utah Valley Animal Shelter, working to reunite owners and lost pets and organizes the Annual "Celebrate Your Pet Event", a fundraiser for the shelter and great fun for the community.

Heathre incorporates her past experience with a vast network of shelters and area veterinarians. Together they provide a safe place for unwell or traumatized cats and dogs to heal and recover until they can be placed in permanent homes with people who will take proper care of them. UVAR works closely with Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, UT in addition to South Utah Valley Animal Shelter. All animals are spayed or neutered and vaccinated before they are adopted out to responsible owners.

Heathre's staff includes her husband Blaine, and Sean Danner along with her dedicated crew of volunteers. They all have made animal safety and health top priorities. Heathre states, "We love animals and want to help them." Utah Valley Animal Rescue is poised to do just that, one pet at a time.

"Together we CAN make a difference!"

Because I love all the little pets. I feel so bad for those that don't have homes with loved ones. We need to support those that are able to help!!!

Too many treatable animals are killed each year because of overcrowding in shelters. I'd like to help in any small way that I can...and this organization's director is one hard-working lady.

UVAR has helped so many homeless animals from our small rural shelter and many others. Heathre works tirelessly and pours her heart into saving these animals who have been discarded so that they may have a second chance at life with a loving family.
