Renovate, Relocate or They Will Shut Our Doors.
Our current building needs to be upgraded “Immediately” to
building code standards. If repairs are
not done Jodie’s Restaurant will have to “CLOSE
IT’S DOORS”. We have searched for a
new location since 2010, but each time, we thought the deal was done it fell
through and the landlord choose someone else because we did not have enough
backing.
In this renovation we will be upgrading our entire space to building
code standards. Some of the improvements
will be to our hood with make-up air and a fire suppression system, new
flooring, new windows and doors, new counters and
shelves, work areas and repairs to a
leaking roof. After these renovations or
relocation is completed Jodie’s Restaurant will finally be able to bring back
the "Famous Fried Chicken"
everyone has been missing and longing for since May 2011. You won’t have to ask for the chicken anymore
it will be here again to stay…..
Please help us Renovate, Relocate and Keep Our Doors
Open. Thanking you in advance for your help and support. Jodie's
Restaurant Family
A LITTLE HISTORY….
Jodie’s is a small family restaurant featuring Healthy
down-home cooking and southern hospitality. Our breakfast and lunch menu
consist of American classics with a southern accent. Jodie’s existing restaurant, a successful
restaurant-grill located in Albany, CA since its opening in 1989.
Jodie’s has developed an extremely loyal customer base.
Customer recommendations have increased business far beyond the present small
capacity, so expansion is necessary to accommodate our growth. Jodie’s is a
special place in Albany, as an article in the San Francisco Chronicle and the
Albany Patch makes clear.
Some things that make Jodie’s different are:
• Authentic Southern-Style Barbecue. Chef Jodie Royston uses
the very best meat. His barbecue sauce recipe has been in his family for
generations. We know of no restaurant, either in Albany or Berkeley that serves
anything comparable.
• An Original Approach to Tradition. Chef Royston’s
background enables him to combine his Southern roots with innovative,
contemporary cooking ideas. Catering manager Chef Michelle Royston-Kamel,
graduate of the California Culinary Academy, lends modern Californian touches
to the menu and grandson Charles Garrison adds flair and innovative presentation.
• The Staff. At Jodie’s, Service is just as important as the
food and is a major factor in the loyalty of our customers. Once you cross the
threshold, you become part of the family. When you leave, we hope you’ll feel
as if you’ve just left your grandmother’s house.
• The Customers. The informal atmosphere at Jodie’s
encourages friendliness and Jodie’s own outgoing nature sets the tone. If you
are alone, you can still take part in the lively conversation and fun that make
Jodie’s such a great experience, especially on the weekends.
Jodie’s is the perfect gathering-place for good food and any
occasion. We say: “There’s no place like
this place near this place, so this must be the place.”
