April Animal Awareness Month

We are raising money for April Animal Awareness month.  We will be donating the money to various rescue groups that have been instrumental in helping us with strays that have been dumped in the desert.  Schools are a magnet for stray animals.  They love the kids.  The desert is notorious for animals being dropped off and neglected.  As a teacher I would not have been able to rescue some of these strays if the rescues had not helped us.  Last year we raised $1000 dollars between two elementary schools.  We were able to help the rescue pay the hospital bill for five parvo pups.  We lost one out of the 6 but we were able to save 5 of them that then went to loving homes.  It is a great opportunity for our students to give back to our community.
