About this campaign

Elizabeth Ryan was a courageous and spirited young girl who inspired everyone throughout her battle against cancer. Each year around Elizabeth's birthday we celebrate the amazing person who taught us so much. After 15 successful years of Little Bit of a Walk's, we switched over to an online campaign last year. Thisexciting new platform allows you to participate as much as you would like and it allows us to offer more products, children sizes, and every order ships directly to you once to campaign has ended. All proceeds will go to Making Headway Foundation to be used directly for brain tumor research. Please help us celebrate Elizabeth's life and join us in the fight to find a cure!

ElizabethjpgElizabeth was known to her family and friends as "Little Bit" because of her small size, but the legacy she has left is anything but little. In the summer of 1997 Elizabeth was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. She fought tirelessly, but six short months later her fight against cancer had ended. In her nine years with us she taught us countless lessons and every year for her birthday we celebrate the amazing person she was. We celebrate the fighter; the girl who struck out 99% of the time on her softball team, but always still got up to bat again. We celebrate the comedian; the girl who would constantly crack jokes about how starving she was from chemotherapy. Most importantly we celebrate the hero; the nine year old little girl who showed an entire community that hope is never lost. Even if you lose the battle, you win in the way that you live your life and the memory you leave behind. Elizabeth taught us to laugh and enjoy our time here because we never know how short it may be.Herbattle might have ended but together we cancontinue the fight against cancer. Elizabethserved as an inspiration to all of us and on her birthdaywe remember the great values she taught us through this campaign.
All fundsraised will be donated to Making Headway to be used directly for brain tumor research. Making Headway Foundation is a non-profit organizationthat helped Elizabeth during her battle. They recognize the need for support in the entire family that goes through such a struggle; supporting children and their family from diagnosis through treatment and beyond. They pride themselves on countering fear through laughter and love just as Elizabeth taught us to, and there is no better way to continue on with her spirit than supporting a cause that so closely exemplifies her values and the lessons she taught us.
