Chewie came from another horrible shelter in the south.* He survived appalling conditions with many other dogs in the utter dark. No light, no room, no clean place to lay down. When we got him and the others out, his head had been ripped open and his scalp was mangled. He was weak, dehydrated and miserable. As you can see, he's on the mend now and and has been adopted to a family who has promised to leave the light on for him, because he is still terrified of the dark. With time, this will pass, but for now, Chewbacca needs a night light. But thanks to you he has learned that no one is ever going to try to rip him apart for his food or a place to lay down.
