Kids Making A Difference - Maya Rigler

At just 10-years-old Maya is currently in treatment for her second cancer diagnosis. In January of 2015 she decided that she would channel all of the support she’s received from friends and family over the years into a virtual fundraiser through Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. In just a few months she’s managed to raise over $100,000 for childhood cancer research! She has surpassed each fundraising goal that she has set for herself and now has her sights set on raising $250,000.

Maya’s t-shirt design is based on the nickname she created for her tumor - Bob the Blob. This shows exactly how remarkable she is: by taking something dark and turning it into light. Some would say that’s “taking lemons and turning them into lemonade.”
