About this campaign
Mia has Spinal Muscular Atrophy- The number ONE genetic killer in babies under 2 years of age. SMA is considered terminal, but with proper care, children are living longer and longer. There are many, many, things we need in order to help Mia live the best life possible. Equipment, supplies, therapies, and frequent doctor's visits are just a few. The cost of things add up quickly, and in addition to normal household bills, we sometimes have to pick and choose. In the next month or two, Mia will be having her Tracheostomy surgery. This hospital stay will be at least a month, minimum. We will not have an income while we are at the hospital with Mia, which is 6 hours away from home. We also have an almost 4 year old daughter, and she cannot stay with us at the hospital. The gas required to visit between the hospital and home will add up quickly. This surgery is very much needed, as her SMA has caused her to become very unstable. Please help us give Mia a Miracle by relieving some of our financial burden so that we can give her the surgery to prolong her life!
