About this campaign

Help support Deaf Awareness Week at Lexington!
Lexington School for the Deaf is located in East Elmhurst, Queens, NY.

In honor and celebration of Deaf Awareness Week 2015, the Lexington School for the Deaf has designed a special t-shirt to raise awareness of the necessity of sign language to the Deaf community.

The front of the shirt shows two signing hands, a small one to represent our students and a larger one to represent the important adults –parents, family, teachers, aides, therapists, and community members - who empower our students to use their natural language to communicate successfully in the world around them. The back of the shirt includes this year’s Deaf Awareness Week message – “With Sign Language Rights, Our Children Can!”

Show your support for Lexington’s Deaf Awareness Week activities by purchasing one of these unique t-shirts. Proceeds from t-shirt sales will be used to purchase Deaf Awareness Week t-shirts for the students and staff at Lexington.
