Butte Humane Society is one of the oldest non-profit agencies in Butte County, California, working since 1911 to bring humanitarian care to dogs, cats and other animals. We are a Limited Admission shelter that strives to make our animals as comfortable as possible during their stay with us. Saving Lives. Finding Homes. Inspiring Compassion.

I rescued my best friend! I t was at Butte and nearly 4 years ago.....
Rescue is the only way!
We have adopted two dogs (at different times) from Butte Humane Society and hope that BHS is able to find homes for many more dogs. We all need to help take care of animals who depend on people for love and survival.
I wish no animal had to be homeless or waiting day after day for adoption.
