About this campaign
Spring into the Arts is a new month-long festival for the ENTIRE community, brought to you by Valparaiso Community Schools. It was a concept organized and orchestrated by VCS Art teachers who firmly believe that students deserve meaningful experiences that allow them to showcase their art as well as learn about their local community. This event combines both of those ideas in a phenomenal way!
VCS student artwork grades K-12 will be featured at seven landmark locations downtown and will remain on display during the entire duration of our month-long festival! Each venue provides a unique theme that aligns directly with grade-level curriculum. Our kick-off event, The @rt-chitecture Walk, takes place at Urschel Pavilion on Saturday, April 30th at 10:30 am. All of the community is invited to join us as we unveil over 60 pieces of student artwork at each designated location. As you walk arou you will be immersed in student artwork that was designed to teach us more about our beautiful City of Valparaiso.
Supporting the Arts is important, not only to keep this unique festival going, but also to showcase to our young artists, as well as our community, that creativity is valued. Please consider supporting Spring into the Arts by purchasing a t-shirt and attending our kick-off event on April 30th!

The arts inspire old and young alike in a creative and beautiful way. They bring a richness to a community and, in my opinion, are necessary to any thriving city...like Valparaiso!
Bravo to all the AMAZING Art Educators who have given their time above and beyond the call of the profession!

I was blessed to be a visual arts instructor for Valparaiso Community Schools for thirty-nine years. The arts are a vital part of making a well rounded member of society. Go Valpo!!!!
