About this campaign
Founded in 2005, Sunshine Golden Retriever Rescue is a 501(c)(3) registered rescue group dedicated to assisting golden retrievers and golden mixes who have been abandoned, abused or neglected. Going one step further, SGRR also takes in dogs that might appear "less adoptable" because of their physical appearance. 100% of the funds raised will go directly to SGRR to allow it to continue with it's efforts until they all have a home.
Each dog that is brought into Sunshine Golden Retriever Rescue undergoes a medical assessment and necessary treatment to include spay/neuter, heartworm treatment and vaccinations. Evaluation is begun to assess personality and temperament and are also observed to determine level of housetraining, leash skills, activity level and knowledge of basic commands. Adopters are carefully screened and must complete a written application followed by a vet check, phone interview and home visit prior to approval as SGRR believes a patient, secure and loving home will make all the difference.
