6 Points Sports Academy Tikkun Olam 5K 2017

About this campaign

At 6 Points Sports Academy, we strive to become better athletes and Jews. To do so, requires us to stand up for and support our communities. During the second Shabbat of each session, we run a Tikkun Olam (Repair the World) 5k to raise awareness about a social justice issue affecting our communities in Greensboro, NC and Los Angeles, CA. This summer we are pleased to continue our partnership with Out of the Garden Project in North Carolina and St. Joseph Center in California.

Out of the Garden Project works to address food insecurity by providing mobile food pantries to food deserts within Guilford County each month and distributing more than ½ million pounds of food each year to hungry school children and their families. St. Joseph Center in California provides outreach and engagement, housing, mental health, and educational and vocation training programs to working poor and individuals experiencing homelessness with compassion and dignity. To learn more, visit www.stjosephctr.org.
