About this campaign
We have the privilege of coming in contact with seafarers from around the world and the opportunity to share with them the love of Christ. Each t-shirt purchase will help us expand our ministry to seafarers along the Mississippi River.
God has given us a unique opportunity to reach the world at our doorstep with the Gospel. Thousands of ships enter the Mississippi River each year with crews of international seafarers who are far from home. These ships include cargo ships, container ships, and passenger cruise ships. Many of the ships visiting our port stay for only a short time (12-24 hours). Since time is limited, it is difficult for the crew to make phone calls, send and receive mail, or take care of any personal needs. With two ministry centers, we can easily provide free transportation to and from ships at the Port of New Orleans and the Port of South Louisiana. As we meet needs and build relationships, many times we are able to share the Gospel message. We have Bibles and Scriptures in over 75 languages to be able to give each seafarer a copy God’s Word in his or her own language.
