About this campaign

For the past 2.5 years I have fought cancer for a second time with all my might. Although still fighting, we know that this is the end of my road. Throughout these past two+ years I have lived, loved and laughed fiercely. I decided to not hold back but went forward living my life. I just happen to have cancer, cancer doesn't have me. I was told once when I was planning something for about 6 months out that it "sure was optimistic of myself" to think that I would still be here to enjoy things in 6 months. That's when I decided to fully practice reckless optimism and it has helped me everyday. It's a motto everyone should have and it never hurt to have some gusto in your step - fighting cancer or not. I want everyone to live the life they want and laugh everyday - you can't do that when you're worrying about things that haven't played out yet! Live, laugh, love, be optimistic, be YOU!

The funds will go to funding my last memories with people I love and then go to help pay for my FUNeral/celebration of life costs when the time comes.

Anything for Alexis! I only knew her through my daughter Aimee Secrist, but loved her instantly!

I won't be able to make it to the celebration for Alexis and I want to support her friends and family. What Alexis said really resonated with me and I plan to live with reckless optimism. I am so sorry for you lost
