About this campaign

Simply put I want to do this ride for those who can’t. I've already raised nearly 1300 dollars and there is still room for more! I myself have known many people who have struggled with PTSD, depression, and a never ending mental battle with the outcome often times leading to suicide. I want people, vets and civilians alike, to become aware of the resources out there to help. I want them to know they are not alone in this mentally crippling battle and that there is help, there is a light, and there is a chance to become healed from the stressors military life puts on not only the member, but their family, friends, and cohorts. If by me riding 1250 miles on my bike, in a 22 day period, can help even one soul overcome the mental battle or depression and thoughts of suicide I would do it 100 times over. My goal is to raise as much as possible to donate to Mission 22 because that is how much I believe in what they are doing for our community.

I will be starting my journey 1 September from my home in Buffalo NY and riding to an Air Force base located in the State of Mississippi. Over this time I will be riding 22 days, on average 67 miles per day, in order to bring awareness to this terrible thing happening in our veteran and civilian community alike. Along the way I will be stopping and talking to as many people as humanly possible trying to spread awareness that there are outlets and avenues for help. I hope you consider reading my message, buying a shirt, or even making a small donation if at all possible. Any amount can go along way and I believe together we can make a difference. You can follow along with my journey on Instagram @fitinstinctmvmt or my blog page as everything gets under way. There is also an option to donate directly to Mission 22, if you prefer that route, with my campaign page https://mission22.networkforgood.com/projects/32169-michelle-greene-s-ride-to-raise-awareness. I would also love to hear your story, how suicide has effected your life and how things have changed because of it so please shoot me an email at fitinstinctmovement@gmail.com, I would love to dedicate my rides to individuals throughout our community who have personally been affected by this. I can't wait to hear from you and I want to personally thank you in advance for considering a donation!
