About this campaign

Alternative Spring Break is a year long, extracurricular, educational activity that culminates in a hands-on experience during the week of Spring Break. Members learn about and address important social issues including poverty, homelessness, substandard housing, and volunteer/community relations through hands-on involvement in a variety of settings across the United States. The purpose of the organization is to prepare for and immerse students in a community where they will live, work, and learn with the help of local residents during Spring Break week.
