About this campaign

Through their reading of The Breadwinner by Deborah Ellis and the viewing of the documentary Girl Rising, the 7th Grade students of Jenkintown Middle School learn about women's rights around the world and the gender inequality that exists. This discrimination is even more apparent for girl refugees. This year, the 7th grade will be supporting Heshima Kenya to empower and educate female refugees. See the link for more information about how the sale of just one shirt could dramatically impact the life of a girl in need of education and basic necessities.

Education to most needed refuge is very important, if you can not do much to end suffering at least minimize it.
